Working at the UMFA

Having received the opportunity to work at the Museum of Fine Arts this academic year I have been lucky enough to experience a central part of the university’s campus from a unique point of view. I began work at the UMFA in mid-September as the new Collections Assistant on federal work-study. In my position I get to work with nearly all of the Museum’s works on a personal level. I’ve handled all sorts of art, from centuries old pottery and weapons, to modern pieces by local artists. It’s been an amazing experience that I’m extremely grateful for. I love having access to this vault of treasures that exists on campus, but of which so few actually understand the full extent.
